About us
The municipality is located in the northern part of Ruse District. With an area of 570,624 km 2, it is the largest among the 8 municipalities of the district, which accounts for 18.79% of the district’s territory.
Its boundaries are as follows:
- to the northeast – Slivo Pole Municipality
- to the east – Kubrat Municipality, Ruse District
- to the south – Vetovo municipality and Ivanovo municipality
- to the northwest – Romania
- The municipality consists of 14 settlements.
